FIFTEEN - GRYFFINDOR - PUREBLOOD - SELENA GOMEZ
THE SCARS OF YOUR LOVE

"So hey Eileen, tell me about yourself."
-- "I don't really know what to talk about actually.. um, so I'll start with the basics. Well my name is Eileen, I was born on the seventeenth of April in the year two thousand three - in Godric's Hollow. I have a brother, Logan, and my parents are Robert and Santana Derrick, and they work in the Ministry. We're a pureblooded family and my parents are freakin' proud of that. My family seems to place a lot of importance on blood status."
"You talked about your family a little. What is your relationship with them?"
-- "Well we're family, so obviously we love each other. I think. My parents were really disappointed when I was sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin. Actually, my dad was furious when he was told that I was sorted into Gryffindor. I suppose I've let the family down, you know, not live up to the family name. But not really, I like being my own person. Somewhere along the line I think, my dad actually said he would disown me if I continue not to live up to the family name, but my mom didn't let him. That's what Logan told me, at least, but you can't trust him.. I'll get into that in a bit! I would say that I'm pretty different from the rest of them, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm family, and they've just got to put up with me ya know? we try to get along for the most part, but sometimes we clash. Logan is a whole different thing though... he's in his sixth year, one year older than me, and there's one word to describe him, and that's evil. He is one person in my family that I cannot stand. And I swear he can't stand me either."
"Have you and your brother always been like that? Or is it a more recent thing?"
-- "Here's the deal: he's just like dad. he hates the fact that I'm in Gryffindor, and that's just about the ONLY reason that pulled us apart. but I mean really! we were inseparable when we were kids, I don't know why it has to change simply because I'm in Gryffindor, and he's not. Also, since I've started school we compete. a lot. it's always me trying to outdo him. But see, I seldom win. Because.. ugh. It annoys me just talking about him!"
"Alright then, that's interesting.. but let's go to another subject for now. How would you describe yourself? As in strengths, weaknesses, all that stuff."
-- "Well I'm an extremely confident girl. I don't take the bullying shit thrown around at Hogwarts, and I definitely won't let my brother insult me for trying to be my own person. And I'm definitely hotheaded. Sometimes I do things that I regret.. but yet it feels so good to go and hex someone annoying to you, get what I mean? When I'm angry there's no telling what the hell I might do, because well, I can go anywhere from punching you to hexing you, or throwing insults... ahh I don't know, it's better if you don't make me mad. I'm actually a pretty easy going girl but start off on the wrong feet with me and you should watch out. Another thing, I can hold a grudge. I won't exactly describe myself as a forgive and forget person, because making me forgiving and forgetting will take me a while. maybe a year. or more. I don't know. I'm also notttt a calm person. As I have mentioned already, I'm hotheaded. I do things that I regret later. but when good things happen I jump up and down with joy. or squeal! Just gotta get the happiness outta me! I wouldn't describe myself as hyper though. Really. On top of that I'm a social butterfly, I just love interacting with people, not exactly gossiping but sometimes there are interesting gossip... but basically I like talking to all my girl friends and occasionally flirt with cute guys here and there. I'm most definitely extroverted. I can talk forever about myself! Like this long conversation we're having now!
I'm going to sum this up really quick and not make a whole mess out of all the other wonderful amazing adjectives I have to say about myself... one. I'm a spontaneous person. two. I am rash. three. I'm a freaking social butterfly! four. I'm more of an emotional person than logical. five. I'm super confident! six. I can hold a grudge if I feel like it. seven. I'm an optimist. eight. I'm competitive. very competitive. nine. I would say that I'm a very intelligent person. I'm not a total nut job, that's it. and last but not least; ten. I'm blunt. I hate little white lies. seriously!
Kay, just want to point out that those ten facts summed me up wayy better than talking about myself! alright, moving on! next question please!?"
"Nice. Tell me about Hogwarts.. how you feel about it and all that."
-- "Three words? I love Hogwarts. It started, like every other student, with the acceptance letter. You can believe that I was doing cartwheels when I finally received mine. Heck I was waiting for 11 years for this moment to arrive, and after Logan left for his first year you can say that I was incredibly jealous. I wanted to go too you see!
What I love about Hogwarts is the people here. All the other Gryffindor girls (for the most part at least) are soo nice. I love the ones I share my dorm with. And the boys? don't get me started, there's a lot of cute boys here. I've never really had a serious relationship, but who am I kidding, I'm only 15. Hopefully I find my soul mate soon though!
When it comes to schoolwork you can say I'm kinda iffy on it. Schoolwork is just not the best part about Hogwarts. Even though it IS the main point of school. We have too much homework. Seriously when I go to bed at the end of the day my head is swimming with all the work we have to do. But it's alright. I always pass my exams with flying colors, and that's not about to change soon. I work hard, try my best, and even though I hate it with all my heart, it has to be done right? Currently I'm revising for my OWLs - I'm completely sure that I'll do amazing on that!
I almost forgot. QUIDDITCH. one word for that is passion. I made the team in my third year and I'm not ready to quit soon. I love the sensation you get when you're flying, it's amazing."
"That sums it up pretty nicely. speaking of Quiddtich, what other hobbies do you have?"
-- "well I love art. It's just one more thing that I love doing in my spare time besides Quidditch and talking to all my girl friends. I guess my skills are okay, I'm still working on that. I also love music. I play the drums... obviously I don't have a drum set at school but during the summer when I go home I have tons of fun with that. I just got a lot of passion for these things... you know, I think that is what sets me apart from all the other girls - my hobbies!"
"Interesting. The drums I mean, that's neat. We only have a couple questions left, so just hang on there! What are your goals in life? Particularly after Hogwarts."
-- "Um, for now I'm taking it pretty slow, just one day at a time. But time flies.. I'm thinking of becoming an auror after Hogwarts, either that or a healer. But a job in the ministry doesn't sound bad either. I'm pretty undecided. Who knows, maybe I'll become a professor at Hogwarts, or even a professional quidditch player. As for goals right now, I'm thinking of just making it through my fifth, sixth and seventh year, passing my OWLs and NEWTs with flying colors, and just have a great time at Hogwarts. Later in life I would also like to find my prince charming and start a family with him... I don't know, that seems pretty far off though!"
"Good luck achieving those goals Eileen! Oh gosh, that's all the time that we have.. and most of the questions actually! It's about time to close this interview up.. Eileen, anything to say to everyone else?"
-- "Nope, not in particular. I just hope you found this interview interesting. And thanks for having me!"

It didn’t take long for Donald to get to the pitch. Mikah grinned, ”Donald!” she called out happily in greeting. “....did you enjoy the last Quidditch match? And people thought I was nuts for putting Gus in as Keeper....” the other boy said. Well, she hadn’t thought he would bring up the results of the last match to her so soon. Mikah frowned, then sighed lightly. “Yeah, I guess you can say I enjoyed it…” she said a bit bitterly. Don’t get her wrong, she loves the friendly competition thing Donald and her have going on, but she had lost the snitch the last time, and that places Gryffindor below Ravenclaw on the Quidditch standings. Unless Ravenclaw can lose a game, there’s no way Gryffindor can win the Quidditch cup. Gryffindor losing made her lose some of her newly found confidence, especially as a captain.
Bringing herself back to the conversation, she replied, in response to people thinking that Donald was nuts for putting Gus in Keeper, "I think you’re nuts," she said lightly, obviously joking, and smiling again, the bitterness gone from her voice. She pushed the thought of the lost match away. It doesn’t matter if Gryffindor did lose, a match can’t determine whether or not Donald and her stay friends. "I thought you were going to put Brody on your team, like last time," she said, shrugging. If it was her making the decision, she would have put Brody. "But anyways," she ended the talk of the last match quickly, brining them on to the event that they’ve both been waiting for. Hopefully Donald isn’t here today to make sure she understood that Gryffindor had lost. She’s trying her best not to be a sore loser, but it’s hard when you have someone there to remind you that you lost.
"So, shall we get this race started? Or do you want to go through any rules, first?, or what?"
Mikah nodded. "I don’t think there would be any strict rules… I don’t think either one of us are going to attempt to knock each other out of the brooms," she said, knowing that both of them would play fair. If anyone cheats, that would somewhat defeat the purpose. Plus, he’s one of her closest friends, she doubt that he will try anything like what the beaters do on the Quidditch pitch, aiming for seekers and whatnot. "I would like to know though," she said, grinning, "What is your forfeit for me?" she asked. She’s very interested in knowing. Donald’s forfeit will definitely be interesting, they have always been!
