overall history:
● i was born in the hospital on a warm march evening to page and brison ackerman. of course, i don't remember the day, but my mother has told me about it many times. she went into labor at three that morning, and had to drive herself to the hospital because my dad was working late. lillian had to come with us. she was five at the time, and she was freaking out about missing school the next day. when my mother got to the hospital, they paged my father and he came to watch me be born. they said they were so happy to have a healthy little boy.
● when i was about five was when weird things started happening around me. like one day, mum was trying to give me a bath and i got angry because i didn't want a bath. she was trying to fight me into the tub, and the mirror exploded, cutting her. after that, more and more weird stuff continued to happen. my family had no idea what was going on, but we were all a little freaked out.
● when i was eleven, an owl dropped a letter off at the door. this was very odd to me and the rest of my family, because lets face it, what muggle knows that owls can deliver letters? well, it was addressed to me and written in beautiful flowing handwriting. at first, my parents were sure it was a joke, but when yet another letter was delivered, they started to put the pieces together. they followed the instructions and bought me my robes and everything else. when i arrived to go to school in september, we had no idea what platform nine and three quarters was. but there was a nice wizarding family there who explained it to us. i ran though the wall ( something that amazed the crap out of me ) and into the train station. i kissed my mum, sister, and father goodbye and got on the train, i found a seat and that was where my adventure began.
● i was put into ravenclaw, and welcomed by my housemates. i ate an amazing dinner, and made a few friends. i decided that i would do my very best in absolutely everything so no wizard could doubt that i belonged in their world. that was when my obsession with making good marks began.
● in my third year, along with stealing that potion from that one girl, i got my first girlfriend. she was a third year as well, and we got along great. we got closer and closer, and soon holding hands turned into little pop kisses. she was my first love, and we dated that entire year. when summer rolled around, we said goodbye and promised to write a lot. that was the worst summer of my life. after the first three weeks, i stopped received letters from her. then, about two weeks before i was due to go back to school, i walked in on my mother with another man. we've never spoken about it. when i got on the train to go back for my fourth year, i sought out my girlfriend. i found her and tried to speak with her, but she just smiled awkwardly, shook her head, and walked away with all of her friends. i fought tears the entire ride to hogwarts. but i got over her within a month or so, and everything went on like it always had. i learned an important lesson from all of that - life goes on.

role play sample:They stood at a comfortable distance from one another as they spoke. They didn't look like fiances, they didn't even look like friends. Because they weren't, and neither of them was the type to go around pretended those kinds of things. At least, she didn't think he was. She didn't know a lot about him. She was pretty sure that he wasn't a virgin though. Something that did bother her a little bit. After all, she didn't know who he had touched. But oh well. She wasn't the most innocent thing in the world either, however, she did retain her virginity. Her mother would kill her otherwise. There would be no disowning about it. Death for her would be the only option. But it was different when you were a guy. Shagging was good. You were cool. Way to get you some. Girls were whores for it, and that was a fact of life. Something that she had learned to live with, though some girls didn't seem to understand it.
He spoke again, saying that he would have hexed the girl. She grinned. Perhaps they were more alike than she first thought. "I was going to, but Caden snatched me up and walked off with me before I could." She stated. She wished that she would have gotten the chance to lay some sort of terrible hex on the girl, but perhaps it was better that she didn't. She didn't need any more trouble, not really. She really just needed to focus on her studies, get good grades, and be a good little student until she graduated. But that wasn't going to happen. She liked to get in trouble and fight too much. She was just a bad kid. Her brother was perfect though. Ha! He just wasn't as open about what he did. Sometimes she wanted to tell on him, but she knew better. He would hurt her if she did. Badly. So she kept her mouth shut.
Kimber continued to look up at the man that she would some day marry. At least they got along. But she couldn't help but wish that she would marry for love. She didn't really agree to it, though he didn't know that and she didn't plan to tell him. She actually threw a fit when her father told her, but with a few choice threats, her mother and father convinced her to. When she saw him her first year, she realized that it really wasn't too bad of an arrangement. And the more she got to know about him, the less it bothered her. In fact, she had kept it at the back of her mind until recently. Never even spared it a second thought. But now that it was nearing time for both families to go through with their promises.. Well.. She was thinking about it more, and he was too. Why else would they be standing here in the cold having this little chat?
He went on to ask her how she was doing. Small talk at it finest. But what else did they have to talk about? It wasn't like she knew a lot about him. It wasn't like she could ask how his family had been. Hell, she didn't even know his parents or siblings names... Even though her mother had told her them countless times. She supposed it was time to start remembering them. Before she had a chance to reply to his first question, though, another question penetrated the cold night air. She laughed.
"Not recently, actually. I've given up on the dating scene for now. Guys are too needy." She laughed lightly, her blue eyes sparkling a bit. She offered him a smile, but suddenly something hit her.. And it wiped the smile clean off of her face, which had suddenly became very serious. She looked up at him, "You aren't needy, are you?" She questioned. Yeah, that was pretty rude.. But if he was it was something that she needed to prepare herself for. If he was needy.. Well.. She wouldn't be a very happy camper. They should have attempting to get to know each other a long time ago.
