Emery Jade Wood couldn't sleep. She tossed, she turned, she tried every possible sleeping position, but simply had too much on her mind. She sighed and buried her head into her pillow. After a moment or two she got up and pulled on a pair of jeans, a black tank top, and a black zip up hoodie to match. She slipped on a pair of converse's she had beside her trunk, grabbed her wand, and walked out into the common room. Literally no one was there, it was perfectly still, and the flames of the fire were merely embers now.
She snuck out into the halls, dodging all the Prefects she could get around. She walked all the way up to the Astronomy Tower where she quietly looked around, expecting someone to be there. It was merely midnight and she was surprised no one was out and about, or at least sneaking around. The Astronomy Tower was always a hotspot, especially for Emery. It was so peaceful and quiet, and sometimes she would fall asleep starring at the stars, waking up to be missing at least her first two classes.
Emery walked around to make sure no one was there, and luckily she was alone. She frowned though, she wanted some company. She walked into the middle of the room and laid down on the stone cold floor closing her eyes. The night air was just perfect and the moon shined bright overhead, but not enough to mask the blanket of stars surrounding it. Emery looked up and just took everything in, it was amazing and beautiful, and she couldn't help but have a small smile just looking up into the sky.
Closing her eyes she began to relax, until she heard the door to the tower open, and she just froze...waiting for the person to reveal themselves.
