THE SCARS OF YOUR LOVE

bella marie santini was born into a small wizarding family. she was the oldest daughter, and since she was about the age of seven, when her little sister was three years old, she began to take a lot of responsibility into her hands. this isn't to say she was boring and serious from a young age, but she knew what she had to do and how to do it. bella's life as a child was quite ... average. her parents were yes, in love, but even they had their occasional arguments. her mother worked in hogsmeade, and her father worked in diagon alley. both were lower middle class workers, and while bella could always find food on the table, she couldn't always get the nice clothes and the newest cauldron she wanted. her little sister, alex, was always tagging along. bella didn't mind, she was always a motherly sort of girl anyway. bella was, in all honesty, creative. unlike her work-to-get-by parents, she wanted to do something with her life. she liked art and music, and she wanted to become famous, to travel and see the world. bella was a dreamer from day one, and she had the most outrageous and appealing ideas spewing from her lips. at age eleven, she was sorted into hufflepuff at hogwarts. she struggled with some studies, such as potions and divination, but excelled at charms and herbology. she stayed out of trouble for the most part, only really earning herself a detention when she was caught out too late. bella was an alright student, getting good enough grades but never passing as a nerd or something. she proved to be horrible at quidditch, though she could ride a broom without falling off. when she graduated from hogwarts, though, her childhood dreams showed no signs of coming around so fast. bella ended up working in the three broomsticks for money she needed to get to keep her flat on top of a store in hogsmeade. she is just getting by, but trying to find happiness anyway. she keeps telling herself that one day she will get out and do something, like she always wanted to. in the meantime, she works as a waitress and on the weekends plays music on the streets of hogsmeade, and paints pictures for sale for extra money. all the while, she lives in her little paint-covered flat cluttered with art and sketchbooks, her guitar always leaning against the wall, and her entire space a mess.

role play sample:his next words confused her. oh, don't get her wrong- she knew exactly what he meant for she wasn't daft, but his words caused an uproar in her mind that wouldn't be silenced for awhile. jeanette creeped in, snarling vicious words at her. 'how forward! that filthy mudblood needs to learn his place.' she could only picture her elder sister's sneering face, her cold words nothing to what she could say in person. the hate spitting off of her tongue like a snake's venom, oh it would be awful. and mother, the woman of few but stinging words. what would she say? and, in all this mess in her mind, lucinda could almost see louise staring silently at her with those round eyes, unjudging yet unyielding. and not to mention mother was already out searching for the perfect suitor. one to make their family's name shine- though she had insinuated many times that it would be quite an arduous task to attempt to make lucinda's tarnished name shine. she wanted to stop and decide how she felt, and when she finally quieted down the civil war in her mind enough to, it didn't take long. she liked the development of the relationship between them and she liked his words. of course, maybe they didn't mean what she was thinking. he could simply be generous, and a nice guy at that. pushing aside all she could from her now-aching mind, she let out a light, tinkling laugh. although, she wondered if her turmoil was visible through her eyes- had they widened a fraction? she hoped not. "do not apologize! speaking one's mind is an endearing trait." she smiled, curling one hand over the other in front of her chest as she spoke. "and i thank you graciously for your compliment, although," her voice was a little unsteadier now, as if she was unsure where to go. "you, on the other hand, clearly outshine me." she said, immediately feeling the barrage of insults from jeanette in her head. oh no.
