Things that made Liam who he is today.
Liam was born with a twin brother and a younger sister. The three of them tried to be close. The poor younger sister did tend to get the short end of the stick, though. Liam was always caught up in antics with his twin. They were always up to something. They did their best to include their little sister, but this often ended up failing since they had other things going on. They would start to do something that she didn't want to be around and then they would switch whatever they were doing to something else, but they would forget her from time to time. Then eventually both of the males ended up getting their letters to Hogwarts and getting sorted.
Both of the males got sorted into Hufflepuff. It was exciting for Liam. While he liked being able to be around his siblings all of the time, he was also glad that he was able to fit in. He found himself getting along with a lot of people. However, then he ended up having some trouble. He gained some weight, since he was always able to eat. It was weird for him. For once in his life, he looked nothing like his twin brother. It was so easy to tell the two of them apart. Yes, people picked on him for his weight, but he wasn't really sure what he was supposed to do to lose it. So he ended up just sort of sticking around, doing his own thing.
Liam did well in classes. He wasn't anywhere near the top of the class, but he also wasn't failing anything. He liked passing his classes. While his twin never said anything about his weight, it got to the point where he felt harassed everywhere around the castle. So he started doing everything he could to lose the weight. He didn't want to be the one chubby kid in classes that got picked on for different things. Instead, he wanted to be friendly and popular. It grew to be his biggest wish for people to like him. And if people needed him to be skinny for them to like him, then he was going to do everything he could to become skinny.
After working his butt off, he finally lost the weight in the middle of his fourth year. People started accepting him more and he started getting more friends. He was excited about it. He never played Quidditch, since he wasn't too good at it, but he went to every game. When his fifth year rolled around, he didn't get a prefect badge, but he didn't care. In his mind, he was just fine without a badge. He didn't need it for any reason. He was finally having people like him, so why would he want anything that could frighten them off?
He finished up his fifth year with mostly EEs, but there were a few Os. He was proud of his grades. Now he's in his sixth year and he's pretty excited about everything, especially adventures with his twin.
Who Liam actually is.[/color]
Despite losing all of his weight, Liam is still the chubby kid that just wants friends. He can't help himself. He gets excited when people talk to him. He usually doesn't think he's all that worthy of attention, but he loves it when people talk to him about anything. His self esteem is pretty low, but he does tend to pretend that he thinks he is great. While no one has ever called him clingy before, he does tend to get overly excited when new people talk to him. He's friendly and loyal to anyone who is nice to him.
The most shocking thing about him is the fact that he's very forgiving. He doesn't take anything to be mean. It doesn't really matter what a person says to him. As long as they say sorry eventually, he'll forgive them. Sometimes, he even just assumes they say sorry and he'll forgive them anyway. He hates being mad at people and so he tends to just...not be mad. Unless someone hurts his siblings, he can't hold grudges. But as soon as someone says something about his siblings, he snaps. There's something about him that hates the idea of them being hurt.
He is smart, but he's not overly smart. He's good in a few classes, like charms. But he's more of just an average student. As long as he doesn't fail a class, he's a happy camper. He would just prefer to not worry about failing. So he does his best to keep grades up and do his homework. However, sometimes he does know that he needs to be working with another student to help him understand things. He has turned to tutors a few times, as he needs someone to help him understand things. He really tries, but there are some concepts he just can't seem to understand.
He isn't sporty and he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Like all students, Liam has thought about if he is in the right house or not. But after thinking about everything, he has come to the realization that Hufflepuff is the perfect house for him. He's loyal, friendly, and he does tend to stick to his believes. He stands up for things he believes in, which can tend to shock people. When something is important to him, he'll stand up for it, but that does tend to take a lot. He isn't the most brave person. He usually needs someone with him if he's going to do anything adventurous. He isn't cunning at all. And he'd never do anything to hurt anyone. Lastly, he isn't a witty person at all. So in the end, Hufflepuff was the best place for him.
But he can be good to joke around with from time to time. And if he's with other people, he'll go on adventures or anything that sounds fun. He's one of those guys that is always down for a good time. He's nice to girls and tends to be awkward around them. They smell good and make him nervous, but he does like them.
