This wasn't happening. It could have been. The only class Isolde had actually enjoyed and yet, she received a detention for getting a little out of line with another student from the Slytherin house. Ridiculous. Pointing to the student, she found herself rambling on with excuses upon excuses on what that student had done to start it all. Her face glowering red with anger as she kept looking back and forth from her to the Professor. "If that little tyrant would have minded her own business, it wouldn't have turned into this." It was a constant point of the finger.
Pansy had never been the one to allow a Slytherin such as that one to push her around. She was her own individual, and in her mind she called the shots when it came to pairing up for their potions class. If only her brother had been around they wouldn't of had that problem. She would have been quiet and sane. Possibly have finished with her project without any hassle. But that was impossible. It seemed Isolde had never worked well with anyone really. Looking up to the professor, she merely fell to her knees. 'Detention.' Rang from the lips sending Isolde up to his office. "But Professor!"It was no use. Her words were worthless.
Hanging her head low, she found herself seated in his office with a bunch of other students. What they had been in for, she didn't care to hear. Pushing her hair back, she made a seat at the very back of his office. Not too far from her sat Jame's Potter. Her heart raced with anger as she tried to make as little eye contact as possible. Of course, the two were weary of one another after what had happened long before with their parents. But she wasn't going to let him get in the way of her day now. She didn't need it to get any worse than it had already been.

Ah detention. James sat back in his seat, his eyes scanning the office. In truth, he wasn’t all that certain what it was that he’d done to land himself in his usual seat but for once the Gryffindor couldn’t help but think that it was the generalised slacking off and lax attitude towards the lesson that had ended up with him rocking back in his usual detention seat, his knees propped on the desk before him. Though usually, James couldn’t deny he’d be in detention due to his ceaseless jokes and unforgiving pranks – this time was different.
Running a hand through his precarious hair, James threw a glance toward the door as it opened, his eyes narrowed instantly as they rested on the Slytherin girl that entered, Isolde. His eyes followed her as she walked through the room and sat nearby. He turned in his chair, shifting his weight so that he was facing her. Perhaps this detention wouldn’t be so terrible after all.
James allowed for a small smirk to tug at the corners of his lips, now he wouldn’t normally set out to mock someone or wind them up – but this girl was different. This girl was the daughter of Marcus Flint and Pansy Parkinson. This girl hated him as much as he did her. He cleared his throat and leaned forwards in his chair. “Tut tut to the girl in green, detention!” James chuckled quietly before flicking his wand, causing a piece of paper to float across from his desk and to land onto hers. An image of hand shaking a disapproving finger moved in black ink. The Gryffindor paused, sitting back as he watched intently for a reaction.

A loud crash came from outside the classroom followed by a couple bickering teenagers. Quickly, the professor fled from the classroom practically tripping over his robes on his way out. Letting her head fall back, she let out a soft sigh trying to keep herself calm. Detention was the last place she had wanted to be especially with James Potter; Finally finding her inner peace, Isolde found herself smiling. But not for long. A squeak came in her direction followed by a small thud. Dropping her head, Isolde found herself staring directly into the eyes of her worst enemy. Peachy. What was it he had wanted now? Crossing one leg over the other, she leaned forward and placed her head into her hands. Followed by her actions happened to be a small smile.
"Doesn't surprise me to see you in here either, Potter. A nuisance are we?" A small chuckle escaped her lips as she slammed back into her seat. Of course, these two happened to go further back than expected. Even before their own times with their parents. Apparently, Isoldes mother wasn't much liked by anyone other than her Slytherin house and a few Ravenclaws. Pansy was always constantly picking on his father and mother. Maybe not so much his mother, but father of course. So naturally, Isolde would carry it down bringing it onto James; Isolde raised a brow as she picked up a piece of paper and glanced at it. No surprise there. It was a drawing. Raising her lip slightly, she ripped up the piece of paper tossing it over the side of her desk.
"Quite the comedian, Potter. Don't you think its time to grow up and not follow in your fathers footsteps." Isolde shook her head, but quickly shut her mouth as she watched the professor find his way into the classroom. "Turn around before you get us both in trouble! I can't handle anymore detentions!" She roared quietly, thinking about her position on the quidditch team. She wasn't about to loose seeker. No way in hell. Uncrossing her legs, she tried her hardest not to focus on James as much as she possibly could. The more her looked at her the more aggravated she began to grow with him. All she could hope for was not getting into trouble.

James watched intently as Isolde placed her head in her hands, really he wasn’t that unbearable was he? He’d always thought that his amusing persistence deemed him endearing or even sweet. Though, if Isolde found him annoying then he’d just take that as a compliment because he didn’t like her either. However, rather than just ignoring her as she tried to him, he tended to make his presence known – he liked people to know he was there, and this was a feeling that had intensified since the death of his parents.
“Me a nuisance? Never!” James placed a hand over his heart, an expression of mock shock riddled his aghast features. He knew that she was trying her best to be the ‘bigger person’ but he also knew that soon enough she’d submit to his all too irresistible wit and attempt to beat him in a linguistic battle – it was of course, only down to their parents that the two of them felt the need to resent one another. Personally, James knew very little concerning Isolde, all he knew was that she didn’t like him, nor did he like her and for him that was enough.
He smirked as he watched her rip up his jovial art work and discard it beside her desk. However, as she began her reply the Professor entered the room once again and James chuckled at the evident panic in the girl as she demanded that he turn around. “It’s just detention.” He threw a casual whisper back in Isolde’s direction shaking his head as he glanced toward the Professor who was clattering about at the front of the room – his back facing them. James took this time to his advantage as he leant back to face the Slytherin girl. “Really. You know you’d love to spend more time with me, it’s just a shame that you’re...a Flint!” James chuckled, looking up as the Professor turned around and sent him an irritable glare.

The frustration began to build. No matter what she had did, nor said, James wouldn't find the time to turn himself around before they had gotten into anymore trouble. An unpretentious chuckle lurched from her lips. She could see that he had been a little too full of himself at that moment. Maybe he didn't care so much about the detention, but she did. "Yes, you. You have been nothing but a nuisance ever since the first day I had laid my eyes on you." Gently folding her arms one over another, Isolde began to suck lightly on the inside of her cheek. Just enough to calm her down from going overboard. She didn't need to stir up any more problems than she had in class. "Are you really that daft, Potter? I'm sure your perfect parents wouldn't want to see their darling boy get into any trouble." Releasing her suction like grip from her cheek, Isolde pursed her lips together knowing she should have just kept her mouth shut.
Isolde dropped her glance towards the floor. Papers had been spread out everywhere thanks to her immodest behavior. All she had to do was crumple the thing up. But, then again, she was only trying to prove a point to the boy. "Just detention? Are you mad? I could be out socializing with my friends, not sit here and listen to you annoy me all day." Chocking down a swallow, she watched as the professor stopped at the front of the class. Hopefully he had only bee checking the students out, and was bound to be back on his way. Her voice fell into a dull small whisper. Her body leaning more forward now. How dare he bring up her father and mother. Mostly mother. So the two didn't see eye to eye, but she was just as protective of them as she had been her brother. "I think I would have to pass on that offer, Potter. You see, being a Flint, I don't chum around with the son of Harry Potter. My mum said he was an attention seeker. My father, on the other hand was not."
Again, Isolde began to smile. Her arms back to where they had been before. Across her chest; Looking back to the time, she noticed only a few more minutes and they had been free to leave. -Thank you.- She thought peacefully. The Professor took his stand and wavered for them all to leave. Reaching down beside her desk, Isolde grabbed her books and pulled herself out from behind that desk. "I will be seeing you tomorrow Professor." Finally, she was more than able to just walk out and away from her problem. She was surprised. At least she had made it throughout the whole hour without causing any sort of problems with the Potter boy- Something had been telling her to book it, but another part had only wanted to say bye to him. But why? "Stay out of trouble, Potter. Hopefully this never happens again. I think I have reached the brink of insanity." With a small chuckle, Isolde picked up her pace, trying to get away before he could say anymore.
