High in the Ravenclaw Tower, Vince was pacing in front of his trunk in his seventh year boy dormitory. He had finished his work at the crack of the young Friday evening, so he needed something to do. He was a bit bummed out with nothing to do on a Friday evening and his dorm mates were no help with knowing what do for the night. One suggested doing his classwork regardless if he literally finished it all right in front of the lot.
"For your information, I do not want to do my work because I finished it. Nor do I want to look over it. I just don't know what I want to do. Walk around the grounds, maybe.... Yeah. That might be a good idea. I might bump into some person or group of people that are more lively on a Friday night than you lot."
Vince walk to and opened his trunk. He bent down and shuffled through the dress robes and books that he had in the trunk and grabbed a pair of jeans. He leaned the jeans on the edge of the trunk and pulled down the dress pants he had on and tossed them on his bed. He heard his dorm mates scoff and close their bed curtains in the background as he pulled in the jeans he had picked out on his bottom half. He smirked at their dismay and took off the top remaining half of his dress robes. That section was thrown on his bed on top of the dress pants he had thrown on there. He sent his right arm to the inside of the trunk to search for a shirt as he scratched his back with his free hand. He pulled out a random shirt and stopped scratching his back to quickly check out his choice. He tossed the shirt over his shoulder an went over to his dorm rooms bed and opened the blue curtains. "I reckon you are wanting to privacy in here, like the other two?" He laughed to let his dorm mate know he was just teasing him and walked to the side of his own bed after his dorm mate abruptly nudge him away. He tossed his shirt over the pile of recently worn dress robes and bent down to pick up a pair of shoes. He sat down, lifted his right leg and pulled the pre-tied show on his foot. He put his right leg down and repeated the same action with his left leg.
He stood up, stretched out his body, looked in the mirror and thought girl look at that body, go. Wiggle wiggle... He shook his head and turned to his bed. He grabbed the shirt and put in on. He went to his pile of dress robes and peeled off his robes from the uniform. He tossed that over his shirt because he knew it may get a little chilly.
He walked to the dorm room and said "I will be down and about the grounds for a stroll. If we meet up, cool." he opened the door and walked through it. He closed the door behind him and strolled down to the busy Common Room. It made him a bit more happy to know some of his housemates were doing something, even if it was work or studying while socializing. He waved at a few people and went towards the exit. He went through the exit of the Ravenclaw Common Room.
[insert him walking down seven stories of castle here]
As he approached the big oak doors that made the entrance to Hogwarts, he had stopped and sighed heavily. He questioned if he could see if his sister were in the Great Hall for any reason, to see if she wanted to hang out, but he fought the idea. He figured she already had plans to do something already, and probably with a few of her friends.
He had opened one of the doors and walked through it. He had felt a chilling breeze come around him which made him glad he wore his robe. The weather did not stop him from walking around the grounds, though, since he had a knack for colder weather. He had taken a liking for the colder weather since he figured out the summer heat makes parts of his body blister.
He had started a decent pace to technically no where. He then decided to walk to the lake so he can look at the reflections of the setting sun and the raising moon. He walked towards the lake and could see the reflections of the sun ease it's way away. He picked up his pace towards a rock that laid a few feet away from the shore. He sat upon it and watched the lake shuffle like it did everyday.

Kaitlyn was currently in one of her moods. She had been awfully quiet the whole day, not speaking unless it was absolutely necessary, and it was quite strange for the girl to be so quiet. Her housemates were currently trying to make her talk, to say something, anything, because a quiet Kaitlyn was a boring Kaitlyn. But they should've known better than that by now. Whenever she was in one of her moods, there was no way they would get her out of it. She had honestly expected that after six years of being in the same house would mean that her housemates would get use to her somewhat frequent mood swing and stop trying to make her come out of it, but no. That did not seem to be the case. Though, the Slytherin didn't mind all the attention. It was quite amusing in her opinion.
When evening came though, the brunette was becoming quite irritated by their attempts and decided she needed to get away from them. She stood up quickly from her seat on the couch and left without a word. She was quite sure that they wouldn’t mind, but at the same time she didn’t care whether or not they did. After all, it wasn’t as if she owed it to them to tell them that she was leaving or where she was going. She had enough of that with her siblings, thank you very much. It took her a moment to think of where to go. The library was an obvious place seeing how Kaitlyn often found solace in there, with all the books and its quietness, but tonight she was just simply not in the mood to go there. She suspected that there were probably students in there, and she didn’t want to deal with them. She also wanted to alone at the moment.
So the brunette decided to go outside. It was cold outside, and most Hogwarts students were probably getting cozy by the fire in their common rooms. Of course, if she were human, she wouldn’t have dared to go outside without wearing warmer clothes, but Kaitlyn wasn’t a human and she didn’t feel the cold so there was no need for a trip back to the Slytherin common room. She went up several flights of stairs, and after a few minutes she was at the entrance hall. For a brief moment, the brunette marveled at the beauty of the hall, and then quickly opened the giant oak doors.
As she stepped outside, Kaitlyn was met with a big gust of wind that would’ve made her shiver if she could. She wandered the grounds absent minded, enjoying how beautiful it sky was at the moment. Her feet ended up leading her to the lake, and she wasn’t surprised. She came here whenever there were to many people in the library. Tonight though, there seemed to be another person there. “Beautiful isn’t it?” Kaitlyn asked quietly as she stepped closer to the lake.

He had heard a voice come near him and his gaze broke from the lake to look at who was near him. He had noticed it was Kaitlyn, a Slytherin who is a year behind him and slid off of his rock. He walked over and stood near here, looking back at the lake. She was right about the lake being beautiful, so he nodded at her question.
"Yes, it is. I love looking at it, especially at night, but I do not get to see it at night as much as I want to see it." He was right. Usually, he had Head Boy duties around this time every night, but most Fridays, he did not. Usually, his Fridays are occupied either in his dorm room or the Ravenclaw Common Room. Studying too much and doing any work for Monday classes.
"The lake is calmer than the last time I had seen it up close. And it was cold enough to start a bon fire. It is cold enough to maybe start one tonight, but the cold tonight is tolerable." He had shrugged. It was decent enough for him, but the weather might be too cold or just right for most people. "Then again, I do believe it may feel the same and I wanted an excuse to make s'mores. Late night snacking by the lake always passes time while enjoying the beauty of the lake."
He was blabbering on about just about nothing and probably made him seem a bit annoying to her, so he cooled off with the chatter and just enjoyed the view.
[ooc: sorry my post is short. I have to go and I promise a bit longer post next time]

She smiled at what he said. It was nice to see someone who appreciated how beautiful things looked during the night as much as she did. “Everything is prettier during the night. It’s a shame you can’t see it more often during the night though,” she said as she sat down on the grass, and dropped her legs into the lake, ignoring the cold waters. She couldn’t feel it anyways. “I’m Kaitlyn by the way. I don’t think I know your name,” she remarked, with a small smile. It was during her quiet moods that the Slytherin was in one of better moods. She kicked her legs around in the water, causing some water droplets to land of her, but she ignored it. It was all quite fun actually.
At the mention of a bonfire, she smiled. She had always loved bonfires, mainly because she had a love for fire. Except not as much, seeing how fire could kill a vampire, but despite that her love for fire still stayed, even if it had lessened a little bit over the years. “I always loved bonfires. Fires of any kind really,” Kaitlyn told him. Fires were a destructive force, but it could also provide comfort. She would like to think that she was somewhat like fire, except she rarely provides comfort for others. “I never had s’mores before,” the brunette said randomly. She didn’t know why she was telling him this. It wasn’t as if he needed to know it. She wasn’t even sure that he really cared.
“You know, I’ve never met someone like you before,” she said, continuing to give him information that he didn’t need to know.

"I really do wish I had more time to cone out here during the night. I wish people would come out here to appreciate the beauty of nature and not just take thing for granted. That sounds odd, coming from the Head Boy, a person who is supposed to really stop lurkers of the night; I usually just stop people who really have no reason to be out or just have a stupid reason. I don't mind it if people go out to site see, though." Awkward blabbering again, but at least no one can blame him for trying to be social.
He saw her sit down and stick her feet in the water. It did look a bit relaxing in his opinion, so he sat down next to her and kicked off his shoes and socks. He placed the socks in each of his shoes and placed his shoes arms-length from his side. He dipped his toes into the water to check the temperature and noticed it was decent enough to have his feet go into the water.
"The waters temperature seems fine, tonight. A bit nippy, but my feet can tollerate it. Now about that fire. I can accio up some wood to make a fire if you'd like to have one. I can also accio some s'more indregients, as well. Oh, and I am Vince. Vincent Harrison. Seventh year Ravenclaw. I should have introduced myself a bit earlier. Rude of me not to, but better late than never."
He figured he would introduce himself since she introduced herself. He did not want her to be around someone she did no know at least the name of. Especially since they were hitting it off on a decent note.
"Which house are you in?" He was just making conversation to get to know her a bit more. He figured she was not in Ravenclaw since he had never seen her in the common room. She looked close enough to his age, so if they were to both be in the same house, he would have seen her in the Ravenclaw Common Room. That narrowed the answer down by one for him, so he would see what she would say. No matter what house, he would still hold a conversation. A lot of people are put off by people in other houses due to the reputation each house holds.

“It’s a shame. But people get use to beauty. Though how they manage to do that is beyond me. I can never get use to nature’s beauty,” she said quietly, staring that the forest beyond the lake. Everything was so beautiful outside, but most people she knew were to preoccupied with homework or didn’t see the appeal of nature. Though she shouldn’t talk, Kaitlyn was one of the people who didn’t go outside often. She much preferred the comfort of the library with its many books and silence. Well occasionally there was some not-so-quiet whispering, but most of the time it was relatively quiet.
Kaitlyn smiled when he decided to stick his feet in the water too. Why she was happy about that though confused the brunette slightly. She continued kicking her feet, causing some water to hit both her and the stranger. “I’m so sorry!” she apologized, but she couldn’t help herself from laughing. So maybe that wasn’t the wisest thing to do after you apologized to someone, but then again, she had never been the type of person to follow correct etiquette when it came to socializing with someone. The girl perked up when she heard the mention of bonfires and s’mores. “I would like that very much,” she said quietly with a smile. Maybe after this meeting she would finally be in her usual mood. “It’s nice to meet you Vincent,” she said.
She was surprised that he would ask her what house she was in, since she didn’t think that it would matter. “I’m a Slytherin. I’m also in my sixth year,” the brunette informed him. Kaitlyn wasn’t sure how the conversation would go now that she told him his house. She certainly hoped that he wasn’t the type of person to discriminate based on house. Those people were nearly as bad as those who discriminated by blood. Of course she shouldn’t judge. She was like that once. Of course the key word was ‘once’ meaning that she wasn’t anymore.

"Well, it is certainly a pleasure to meet you, Kaitlyn from Slytherin." He did not shiver at the sound of her saying Slytherin. There were a few people in Ravenclaw that did such a thing, but he knew there were decent members of the House of the Snake. He really did hope people would understand that, but sadly, people won't understand just like people will never understand looking at the beauty they live in. He did pause from thought of house discrimination to look towards the forest and noticed the moon beaming over the trees. "Look at the moon. I like how it is hovering over the trees like that. It's reflection in the lake is nic-"
He was interrupted by random splashing coming towards him. He was a little surprised by it approaching him suddenly, but then he laughed at the incident. The water was a bit cold and reminded him that maybe he should start the bon fire. As his laughter turned into chuckling, he pulled out his wand from his pocket and pointed at the forest. "Accio fire wood. Accio.... branches?" Any type of loose wood that would go in a huge fire would work!"
Yes, that last thing made him look less like the "typical smarty-Ravenclaw", but his mind was still a little damp from the splash. A little of his clothes were a little damp as well, but he did not care much. His clothes will dry amongst the heat. But he wondered if she needed a towel or blanket, so he asked.
"Do you need a towel or something? I can accio up a towel with the s'more stuff." He turned on his side to face the castle and aimed his wand towards the Ravenclaw Tower and said "Accio Towel! Accio S'more ingredie- unf"
As he unfed, his top half landed in the sand underneath him. He realized after a few seconds that one of the pieces of logs he had asked for hit him in the back of his head. He looked up to Kaitlyn to make sure the wood was not going rampage on her, either, or else that would be a bit bad. He had noticed none had actually hit her yet, but came close, so he stood up as quick as he could and pointed his wand towards the flying wood.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" He got that one right as he guided the wood into a nice pile about four feet around. He kept his wand pointed at the pile and said "Incendio![/i][/color]
He watched the fire go from his wand to the wood as the wood caught on fire. He cut the line of fire off from the end of his wand and pocketed it. He almost forgot to finish the accio spell he had done until his navy towel wrapped around him and the s'more items hit him. Within the towel, he said "If you still need this, it is nice and warm. I think they just did my dorms laundry. And we can start on the s'mores.
With his left hand, he pointed at the items that landed on the sand next to him and took the towel off with his right hand. He handed the towel to her, just in case she needed it.

Kaitlyn was quite glad that he was not one of those people who judged people based on their house, though the brunette really shouldn’t be judging those who did seeing how she occasionally did too. But she was human – well technically she wasn’t, but still – she made mistakes and judged people. She was sure that everyone did at least once in their lifetime. There was no one on earth who could be so saintly and pure. If someone brought to her a person who claimed never to judge someone before they got to know, she would call them a liar and probably bite them afterwards. She didn’t like liars, though she also didn’t have room to say that. But she preferred not to think what comes out of her mouth as lies; they were just stories she made up, or false realities. Never lies.
Vincent’s laughter shook her from her thoughts and she smiled. It was nice to know that he had a sense of humor and didn’t mind getting wet. She couldn’t count the times when someone (usually one of her brothers) got angry at her because she splashed them. Most of the times it was by accident, though there was a few times where she did it on purpose, but it wasn’t out of spite. Well, most of the time it wasn’t. Sometimes she felt as though she was the only fun one in the family, which was quite a scary thought seeing how Kaitlyn was usually one of the coldest and rudest person you could ever meet. The brunette laughed again when she started asking for wood and such to make a fire. It was refreshing to meet someone who vaguely knew what they were doing, yet still managed to do it.
She laughed again, when the wood hit him in the back of the head. “I'm… so sorry. I’m.. not.. trying to be mean. It’s just that it’s… really funny,” Kaitlyn said in between fits of laughter. She fell back on the dirt, and continued to laugh. It didn’t seem as if she was going to stop anytime soon. Perhaps she should’ve helped him up or check if he was hurt, but she didn’t think of that. She was too consumed with laughter to help him properly anyways.
The brunette got out of the water and she shook her head when he handed her a towel, but she took it anyways. “I don’t feel the cold,” she offered as a simple explanation. “Thank you though,” she added as an afterthought. She stepped towards the item on the floor, and laid the towel on the dirt. She didn’t want to get dirty. “So, um. How do you make s’mores?” Kaitlyn asked, feeling extremely stupid at the moment.

"Eh, the hit is rather funny, actually, to me, too. When I was hit, it just shocked me a bit, but you laughing at it isn't mean to me." He started to laugh at himself as he rubbed the spot on the back side of his head. "I think people should laugh at themselves once in a while, not take a lot too serious. And I am glad you are enjoying yourself tonight. I'm glad I can be with good company."
He stopped rubbing his head and placed the towel on the sand. "If you need this any time of the night, just let me know." He misunderstood what she meant by not feeling the cold. He assumed she couldnt feel the cold yet. He did not know she couldn't feel any cold at all whatsoever. He did not know he was in a vampires presence. He had just made her acquaintance, so he had previously knew little about her and is going to slowly get to know her.
"S'mores are actually easy to make, but are kind of messy. We just need two sticks. We poke the ends of the sticks through the marshmallows and kind of stick them above the fire until they turn light brown. He looked around for a couple of decent lengthed sticks an picked them up. He handed one to Kaitlyn. He sat down on the sand a few feet from the fire an opened the pack of marshmellows, sticking on one on the end of his. He put the bundle between them so tjey can voth easily reach for them as they went. He reached his stick towards the fire and let it sit there for a few moments.
"We then Wingardium Leviousa a thing of chocolate on a Graham cracker over the fire til the chocolate gets a little liquidy. Then, the marshmallow goes on top of the chocolate and then another cracker goes on top."
He pulled the box of crackers next to the marshmallows and opened it, pulling out a cracker. He pulled back his marshmallow towards him and cooled it down a little, then rubbed the goo-ish substance on the cracker and put his stick down. He put the good cracker on his lap and pulled out a wrapped chocolate bar. He put the pal of chocolate with the rest of the food in the easy-to-reach spot. He unsealed the bar from the paper and tin, pulled out a second cracker, and placed the two together. He took his wand and pointed it at the pair that he had in his hand and said "Wingardium Leviousa!"
The pair drifted to a spot near the top of the fire and stayed there for a bit. With his free hand, he took the loose wrapping and crinkled it up, making a small pile for the trash. He then flicked his wand to bring down his chocolate covered cracker and placed it on top of the other cracker, chocolate an marshmallow together. He placed his wand in his lap and broke his s'more in half, offering Kaitlyn a half of it. "Sharing is caring. See if you like it."
