She hadn’t skived classes for a long time – and today was simply a day that she needed to skip. No it wasn’t something awful like the eve of something bad, or anything to do with her dead parents. It was just an average day however lily’d woken up and the first thought that had come to mind was “oh fuck. Potions essay.” Now it would have been simply ok if it had been the first time she’d forgotten it – perhaps only receive a detention for the second time she hadn’t handed it in. However it was week four, and her professor had made it perfectly clear that she ‘had’ to hand it in. Or else. Now it Lily didn’t mind detentions, or getting told off. Or even being passed up to the head of school. It was the fact that situations like these had become such a regular thing Hogwarts was going to start sending letters home. And lily already know her Aunt and Uncles wouldn’t be impressed. Her cousin hugo would probably take the piss out of her for it (the pair had always got on rather well – especially when he too had been sorted into slytherin) and lily simply knew albus and james would probably hit the roof for the behaviour she’d worked so hard to cover up. Yes they knew she partied, drank alcohol, smoked occasionally. They even probably knew she wasn’t a virgin and she liked to flirt occasionally like any other girl. But the good girl was rotting from the core. She’d landed herself in a crap group of friends that liked the social scene – and although she kept to herself she simply found herself failing in school rather drastically. And of course concerned professors and prefects and what not were starting to pick up that lily just wasn’t right. Nope, she wasn’t what you would class as normal. Her friends sure could have been classed as bad influences but it wasn’t usually them that came up with the ideas. Lily was the bright spark – she was clever, witty and quite good at pranking. Wherever trouble went – lily was sure as hell following closely behind. She’d been labelled a hurricane in the slytherin common room. Disaster simply followed her wherever she went. And lily couldn’t help it. She just called it being unlucky. So the girl found herself on the rooftops. The slight shortcut that had been made years ago by a bunch of students whom had found the area safe to skive it was easy to get to. She climbed on up, pulling herself over the ledge (the reason for it being forbidden was the fact it wasn’t safe, but to any teenager somewhere safe was perfect in their books.) she headed over to glance back over the edge. The drop didn’t look that high from the ground, however once you were up and peering over the ledge it seemed the gravel below was getting further and further away. The brunette shook her head, before perching on the ledge. Shifting about in the pocket of her school robes before pulling out a cigarette and a lighter. No she wasn’t a full time smoker, she was simply a social one. But this morning – the day of all days, she needed one and she needed it bad. She lit it up with the tip of her wand and took one long drag before sighing as if to relax. ”that’s the spot” she muttered to herself. . TAGGING. open. WORDCOUNT. 547 .
