[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #f1f1f1] Silk sheet, blue dawn, Colgate, tongue warm Won't you quit your crying? I can't sleep One minute I'm a little sweetheart Sundays’ are the worst and best days of the week according to Roxanne, it’s the day you don’t want to do anything and there’s nothing to do. Rolling over in her bed she looked at the sun shining gloriously down on the field below. From the looks of things one would think it was a beautiful day outside, but from the wind blowing in through her window she knew better. This was one of the coldest months in England yet she was used to it by now and it wouldn’t stop her from enjoying her day. Pushing the red and gold covered back Roxanne got up from her bed deciding to get her day started; sleeping past eleven was not her usual routine. Looking around her room she saw her dorm mates had decided to sleep in as well so at least she was not alone in that. After a few minutes of fumbling through her trunk she had everything she need to be on her way to the prefect bathroom. She didn’t always enjoy the tasks but she did enjoy the perks, which is why she took the job of course. She did love how proud her parents were, her father laughing at the thought of his daughter being an enforcer of school rules! She smiled thinking about it as the water in the bath filled and she allowed herself to relax within the bass tub. Soaking for a while Roxanne thought about what to do with herself for the day, she could finish up the last of her homework or work out at the quidditch pitch. She wanted to make the team at least one year before she graduated, it was a family thing and she loved the game. Still it had been while since she visited Hogsmeade, maybe she could have some hot chocolate at paddifoot’s and then pick up some candies at honeydukes. Sounds like a great plan she thought getting out of the bath and rushing to dry herself off in the cold air. Putting on her lotion and then clothes she looked at herself in the mirror horrified at the way her hair looked. Did I really walk down the hall like that? Shaking the thought from her head she combed through her moss of hair and finally tamed it after an hour of work. She smiled at her reflection and laughed thinking how her roommates thought her strange for getting up so early to get ready. If she didn’t there’d be a line from here to the fat lady. Roxanne laughed at the thought as he walked back through the common room noticing that everyone was up and bout now, reading or laying bout on a chair. She spoke to those she knew and said nothing to those she didn’t it wasn’t that she’s antisocial; Roxanne just likes to watch before she speaks. Seeing all of the people together made her want some company perhaps she should invite someone along? Just then the perfect person popped in her mind Brooklyn Dubois, it had been a while since she’d seen her. They were in differ years so they had no classes together and could only see each other when free. Roxy didn’t mind as she liked being alone most days but today was not that day. Writing her a quit note she sent it on her owl Hephaestion leaving his cage open so that he could return. Hey Brooklyn, It’s been a while since we’ve hung out and I hope that you can join me today at honeydukes around three pm. If you can be there I’m getting chocolate everything! Xoxo Roxanne W. Walking along the familiar path she held her coat tight to her body happy she’d gotten wool instead of cotton this year. She had her scarf wrapped tightly as well and soon enough the wind around her didn’t seem as cold as it had before. It was a less than fifteen-minute walk and then she was there at Honeydukes homes of every kind of candy your heart could desire. She heard there were shops in France that could rival this one yet Honeydukes would always have a place in her heart. Walking in the warmth hit her like a bear hug and her eyes took in all the sweets trying to decide which ones she should get first. Looking around her eyes searched for Brooklyn then looked to the clock on the wall. Still thirty minutes to go she’d better get comfortable. And next minute you are an absolute creep tags: brooklyn dubois word count: 751 lyrics: obsessions by marina and the diamonds this template was made by madcap @ caution. |
