don't think too hard if you think it hurts that bad DON'T TALK ABOUT IT DON'T LET IT GET YOU DOWN It was an unusually warm day and the sun beat down onto the path leading down to the black lake. Caaden relished in the sunlight, fearful that it would not be back again till well after Christmas, and he hated snowy and cold days. They made him gloomy, and he hated feeling gloomy. Whistling a random song as he walked, Caaden made his way towards one of his favorite places to relax and hide out. Not that he hid out much, usually it was before the full moon when he hadn't taken his wolfsbane. That is something Caaden was famous for, either because he forgot, or because he just didn't want it. Foul tasting stuff that would make the hair fall off of any animal, so he quite often avoided the stuff.
There were a few students on the bank of the lake as he walked across it, he didn't really take much notice of who was there. School had finished for the day, and they were probably like him and enjoying the last few hours of sunlight that were left in the day. He chuckled to himself for no apparent reason and walked up the beach, his pace quickening as he did. He had been walking slow for a while now, and he was sick of it now, quick was the way to walk today. He came to a huge tree on the shore and turned into the woods bordering it and walking a few steps to find the tree with his hidey hole. Only a few people that he knew of, knew about this place, but then he probably wasn't the first student to find it.
He grabbed one of the knots sticking out of the tree and pulled himself up easily and kept climbing higher, using the branches as handles and foot placings. It was easy for someone like him to get up the tree, but then he had his werewolf genes helping with that. He pulled himself right up to the top of the tree to the top and jumped into the tree's trunk. Obviously this wasn't a natural hidey hole, someone had made it to suit there needs, but it would have been a while ago. He walked the gap between him and the edge and leaned against the wall of the trunk and looked out over the lake, feeling the sun beat down on the back of his neck, and smelling the fresh scents of the forest. This was why he loved life at school. It was peaceful, at least when his siblings weren't around.

Ha. If Caaden really thought he could get more than a few moments peace without one of his siblings to cross his path, he definitely was one of the more optimistic of the bunch. Nothing wrong with seeing the silver lining, one had to be in their type of family, but he should have known better than to leave that to chance. After all, there were 5 other siblings and Hogwarts wasn't that big of a school. It only meant a matter of time...
It was his brother's lucky day Váli was not that far behind him. It had been a long day, mostly filled with boring end of the year, OWL reviews. Though, it also was a day he hadn't seen, or even heard, his other brothers or sisters. It wasn't that he 6th year was clingy, he too enjoyed privacy every now and then, but deep down he liked their company more. Even if they spent half the time insulting or rough-housing, Váli felt more himself around them.
So, when he picked up one of his elder brother's scents, he liesurely followed the trail until he came to the familiar black walnut tree, fully laden with ripe or fallen fruits. Picking up one a mischievous grin crossed his face as he glanced up and pitched the fruit toward the trunk's center in hopes to peg him..he merely waited for the yell or the play fight to begin. Right now he needed some type of entertainment. Caaden just happened to be his primary source.

The best thing about school was the fact that Tyr and his siblings could finally get away from their father. Well, that only applied to Tyr, Caaden, and Vali. But nevertheless, they were out of his grasp for the next several months, and Tyr damn well intended to make the best of it. Starting tonight. And that meant getting outside of the castle to enjoy the fading daylight while he still could. Like hell would he stay indoors. Tyr liked his freedom, and any sort of confinement was enough to make him irritable.
Walking along the grounds and around the shore of the lake, Tyr saw a few other students lingering outdoors. Some of them he recognized, but he wasn’t in the mood to stop and sit around with anyone. He wanted to walk, needed motion. Sitting still definitely wasn’t on his agenda for the evening. Tyr had been sitting still for the past few days in his classes, and that was almost enough to drive any werewolf crazy. Confinement and werewolves did not mix. At all. So Tyr walked, and he kept on walking, even when he picked up his two brothers’ scents. He, Vali, and Caaden had always been close, and while he knew that they liked their solitude from time to time, he found himself heading in their direction. Maybe it was the pack instinct, maybe it was just because he was used to hanging out with his two brothers. Whatever the case, off he went.
It was probably a good thing, as by the time Vali came into view, it became obvious that his little brothers were about to start squabbling with each other. Well, as long as it was a play fight and things didn’t get too violent, he wouldn’t care. Hell, he might even join in. The Greybacks were notorious for rough-housing, and they were still a fairly tight-knit family…with the exception of Demetri. But Tyr refused to think too much about him. Every time he did, he got exceptionally pissed off. The kid was like a little version of their father, and Tyr resented Fenrir and everything he stood for. Pushing Dem from his thoughts, Tyr smirked at Vali as his little brother tossed a walnut at Caaden. “We’ve only been at school for a few days, and you’re causing trouble already? Do I need to keep you two in separate corners?”

don't think too hard if you think it hurts that bad DON'T TALK ABOUT IT DON'T LET IT GET YOU DOWN By the time the walnut came flying over the top of the tree, Caaden was laying down in the center, trying to get in a few extra zzz's before the full moon. He jumped in surprise as the walnut smacked him in the left eye and he didn't have to look over the edge or smell the air to know who had thrown it. Snarling softly, and half playful, he got up and hopped out silently and almost invisible in the tree's thick branches, he knew they could probably smell him, but he didn't care. He climbed down so he was above where Vali was, still outta sight and shook the branch so they would all fall down onto his little brothers head.
It was then he heard Tyr. So his older brother had showed up to, even more fun. Figuring he had only just shown up, and hadn't thrown a walnut at him, Caaden decided not to pummel him with hundreds of Walnuts. Instead he just climbed back to where he had climbed up and dropped, just behind Tyr. "Nah, you cant put us in separate corners, it's a forest, it's got none." He said and clapped his brother on the back when he walked past him to lean against one of the trees that was opposite the Walnut tree. He leaned against the tree and watched the two brothers that had decided to spoil his afternoon of solitude.
"So, why have my two annoying brothers decided to spoil my afternoon?" He said with a serious face, but his tone and eyes were full of fun and laughter. He wasn't serious of course, his family was his life basically, he didn't mind them bothering him, it was just when they woke him in the middle of the night, that didn't go down so well. He bent down and picked up a few walnuts, juggling them easily between his two hands, totally forgetting his brothers where there now. He was like this, he always had been. If something else draws his attention, he forgets about what he was doing before. He watched the walnuts as he juggled them, a weird look of pure happiness on his face, kinda like a small child.
